Cadet's Corner
PRACTICE

Cadets should arrive to the High School NLT 0610. If a cadet shows up past that time they are counted as being late. Once the clock is at 0610 Practice Begins. The Drill Team Officer will have everyone fall in. The teams will go through attendance then begin practicing.

If you are not on a team but are at practice you should practice. Use your time wisely. There will be no cadet sitting and doing nothing. All cadets are reminded that there is a time and a place for fun and goofing off and Drill Practice is NOT the time or the place to do it at.

Come to practice ready.

Meaning with all the necessary gear (incluiding not limited to...) Shoes, routines, rifles, flags, etc.

Also come to practice with a positive attitude and the mindset to practice drill if those are not with you at practice you wont march.

Bottom line: Be on time, dont goof off, have necessary gear, have a positive attitude, and have the will to practice.

INCLEMENT WEATHER POLICY

In the event of inclement weather such as snow or ice and school has been delayed 1 or 2 hours then there is NO PRACTICE for that day. If school is closed due to inclement weather there is NO PRACTICE.

This policy has been put into action based on principle that if the school day is delayed because road conditions are not ideal.  So students and parents driving to practice for that day are to stay home so the roads can be treated to become safe. We are not willing to risk the lives of cadets due to practice.

* In the event that school has not been delayed and the Parent believes the roads are not safe it is in the parents power if they do so believe to not allow their child to leave for drill practice. Although practice is mandatory, in these situations those events will be waivered as long as student does not abuse this excuse.
